Leah’s extensive training includes an 18-month postgraduate orthopedic clinical residency program through Physical Therapy First and a year-long certification in Orthopedic Musculoskeletal Therapy (COMT) from the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). Along with only 6% of PTs in the US, Leah achieved board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS). Leah's Trigger Point Dry Needling certification (CMTPT/DN) required another four months of training with Myopain Seminars and her pelvic floor training is from the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
Leah’s expertise includes chronic pain, spine disorders, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), dance rehab.
Because they make lifelong learning a cornerstone of their clinical practice, Leah is credentialed as a Clinical Instructor by American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), giving them top-notch mentorship skills to train the next generation of physical therapists. She routinely mentors physical therapy graduate student interns and has been a guest instructor at the University of Maryland Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Leah has more than a decade of dance experience and has taught ballet, jazz, and modern dance. When not at work, you’ll find Leah practicing partner acrobatics and taking care of their house plants. She is fluent in Spanish.
