FOUNDER AND OWNER

Lizzie’s path to founding Alliance Physical Therapy began with a diverse and unique background. Her first career was as a flying trapeze instructor, where she developed a deep appreciation for the skill of movement coaching. This early passion led Lizzie to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

After graduation, Lizzie further honed her expertise by completing an 18-month orthopedic residency, where she trained under the guidance of Josh Renzi, PT, MPT, COMT, FAAOMPT. This program not only provided training in advanced hands-on techniques, but also earned her the title of Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist. Lizzie’s dedication and skill culminated in her achieving the prestigious Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation after passing a comprehensive exam.

As a lifelong learner and educator, Lizzie took on a role as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, teaching courses on chronic pain, spine, and orthopedics. Lizzie is passionate about inclusive care and has taught professional courses on LGBTQIA+ inclusive practices, cervical spine pathology, and manual therapy techniques.

With her extensive training, clinical experience, and a mission to offer high-quality inclusive care, Lizzie founded Alliance Physical Therapy in April 2023. Outside of her professional work, Lizzie enjoys rock climbing and swing dancing.
